Gamesradar: Dragon’s Dogma 2 developers unveil long-awaited furry playable race after 12 years, saying “Now, our vision can come to life”

The developers of Dragon’s Dogma 2 have revealed that they have been considering the new Beastren race since the Xbox 360 and PS3 days. The director, Hideaki Itsuno, explained that they originally planned to include the new race in the first game but struggled due to technological limitations at the time. With advancements in graphical technology since then, they are now able to realize their vision for the game. Itsuno has been sharing insights leading up to the game’s launch, including details about the map design and fast travel options. Despite previous comments about fast travel being for “boring” games, Dragon’s Dogma 2 is focusing on making the open world so interesting that players would prefer to enjoy the journey. Additionally, a streamer on Twitch accidentally streamed 4 hours of the game after the street date apparently broke, leading to a copyright issue.
