Pittsburgh’s Premier Furry Convention in Full Swing

PITTSBURGH, Pa. (EYT) — Anthrocon 2024: Anthrocoaster is currently underway at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, running through Sunday, July 7. As one of the largest anthropomorphic conventions globally, the event attracts thousands of attendees to Pittsburgh for a unique celebration of community and creativity.

Since 2006, Anthrocon has offered a diverse range of activities, including educational sessions on fursuit-making, escape rooms, dance parties, writing workshops, and art shows. The convention is open to everyone, including those who prefer not to wear fursuits, featuring a vast art alley, renowned DJs, and various parades and parties.

A highlight of the convention is the Fursuit Parade, a world record-setting event where thousands of participants march from the convention center into the Cultural District. This year’s parade is set to line up at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 6, with the procession starting at 2:00 p.m.
