A group of self-described “gay furry hackers” known as SiegedSec have stolen two gigabytes of data from conservative think tank the Heritage Foundation as retaliation for their ‘Project 2025’ policy proposals. The data includes information about the right-wing media website The Daily Signal and contains full names, email addresses, passwords, and usernames of Heritage supporters. The hackers claim the attack is part of their “OpTransRights” campaign and is aimed at promoting transparency. This is the second attack the Heritage Foundation has faced this year. The organization denies being hacked, calling it a false narrative by criminal trolls seeking attention.
